Sony have announced their only new DSLR camera at the 2008 CES. It’s the Sony DSLR A200 and it replaces the former Sony DSLR-A100.

The Sony A200 features a 10.2-megapixel sensor and is designed to be easier to use, faster and lighter. It has a wider 2.7-inch LCDTM screen, easy-to-use function menu, a more compact body than the previous one, and improved noise control for HQ images.

Additionally, it comes with an auto focus speed 1.7x faster than the A100; quieter shutter sound; improved predictive control performance; automatic pop-up flash; and a battery life indicator that displays the percentage of battery life remaining. That way, you won’t suddenly see the battery drop from half charged to 0, and you’ll know exactly when to charge your battery.

The Sony A200 will ship in February and will be available at sonystyle.com and Sony retail stores.
